Chief Executive Officer
A true entrepreneur at heart, Joseph Favazzo has successfully started and operated a variety of healthcare businesses over the past several decades. One of his key ventures was Modern Medical, a pharmacy benefit management and ancillary service company in the workers' compensation industry. As the Founder and CEO, Joe led the organization for nearly thirty years. Under his management, Modern Medical experienced growth and enormous success, resulting in its eventual sale to Optum. Joe’s business expertise is evident in his ability to successfully oversee and lead financial management, human resources, operations and sales.
If you get the opportunity to meet Joe, you will experience his ability to bring laughter and joy into any conversation. His quest for service excellence, emphasis on building relationships, and genuine selflessness and compassion are the reasons why he is well known throughout the industry. When he has a spare moment, you can catch Joe driving around in one of his classic cars.
Robyn Satterfield, PharmD
Chief Operating Officer
Robyn started her experience in the pharmacy benefit management industry in 2002 where she developed clinical programs and managed clinical operations with various companies. As a former senior management leader, Robyn led clinical operations and multiple projects designing innovative clinical programs and web applications to reduce inappropriate use and the risk of harm to patients.
With a love for data, she was engaged in business and operational intelligence decision support systems. She also spent time on the road sharing her passion for pharmacy giving presentations at conferences and to clients on site.
Robyn has worked in multiple healthcare settings during her career. She has consulted on various projects in the telemedicine, Medicare, Medicaid, and care management fields sharing her expertise on improving operational efficiencies and creating new products. She has worked on both small and large projects with pharmacy spend ranging from $25,000 to over $500 million.
She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University. Robyn loves long hikes on sunny days to get in touch with her spirituality. She digs landscaping and planting flowers and trees and is a self-proclaimed “tree hugger at heart”.
Chief Sales Officer
Brian has been in the pharmacy benefit management industry since 2006. His relationship building skills and knowledge of the industry earned him many top sales awards with his former company. He prides himself on seeing each client through the implementation process and working closely with account management to ensure “his clients” are more than satisfied.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University. In his free time, he participates in triathlons and loves spending time at the beach with his wife and 3 sons.
Angie Winchell, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Angie’s employment history and education speak of her dedication and experience in the field of finances. Her 25 years of experience in corporate finance include working for a Fortune 500 company.
Angie graduated from Franklin University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received her MBA from University of Dayton. Angie LOVES Ohio State football and traveling with family and friends.
Executive Vice President of Operations and Account Management
Her parents named her ‘Happy’ as they wanted her to be happy every day. Happy is well-known in the industry not just by her sunny disposition, but by her vast knowledge of both operational and account management processes.
Happy has been in the pharmacy benefit industry since 2000. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Happy enjoys reading Sci-Fi, hiking and trying new foods.
Elizabeth Thomas, ESQ.
As the Compliance Officer for Alius Health, Elizabeth is responsible for staying up to date on legal changes in the workers’ compensation and PBM fields. With different nuances in each state, this requires attention to detail and the ability to effectively research and track changes in the industry.
For many years, Elizabeth had a private practice in which she represented individuals in personal injury matters, contract disputes and family law. Some of her most important work was representing parents and children involved with the Department of Child and Family Services. She was selected by state judges to serve as Guardian ad Litem for minors in family law cases, an honor that speaks to her reputation as a trustworthy and compassionate attorney. Her experience in private practice instilled a belief that advocacy is important and creating a trusting relationship with clients was necessary for success.
She attended the University of the South – Sewanee, where she graduated with a BA in English. She received her JD from The University of Montana School of Law, in Missoula, Montana. Elizabeth and her family recently relocated to Ohio. Although she misses the mountains of the northwest, she has an appreciation for the beauty of central Ohio. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband and children, playing volleyball, and hiking.
